Thank you

Thank you for your interest in piano instruction in Edgewood and the East Mountains. My approach to piano instruction is to teach with great care, patience, and praise for each student.

About Piano Lessons

1. Individualized piano lessons tailored to each students goals, abilities, and personality.

2. Music theory, ear-training, and a selection of music that complements each students' skill and interest level.

3. Written assignments for clear instructions on what to practice during the week.

4. Lots of praise and encouragement to help each student reach their full potential.

Frequency and Duration of Lessons

Piano lessons are once a week. A specific day/time will be reserved for your private lesson each week. Please be on time to benefit from your allotted time and to be considerate of the next person's lesson time. I do not allow parents or siblings to stay in the room during lessons. This is to give each student the ability to fully concentrate without distractions.

Recitals

There will be two recitals per calendar year. A nominal recital fee will be charged to offset the expenses of securing a location, programs, awards presented, etc. Dates will be set as early as possible so that friends and relatives can make plans to attend.

Fees

The fees listed below include instruction time, lesson planning, plus teacher's knowledge and time selecting appropriate music for student's level and enjoyment, a studio that offers performance opportunities in the form of a Spring Recital and Winter Recital, and a teacher's commitment to excellence in teaching a love and knowledge of music.

There will be a $5 late fee per child if payment is made after the first lesson of the month.
